First of all, I want to welcome you to this blog... and second, I'm glad you haven't already clicked the [x] at the top right of your screen. That means something good, right? Well, as you can see, there is so far nothing very exciting happening here. This is the VERY FIRST post! Woo hoo! I hope to somehow fill a few pages with my thoughts (however scattered they may be) and just some random facts about my day. Maybe you'll be able to learn something here, or at least comment and teach me something :) Soooo...
Let's not forget to introduce ourselves... my name is Raeann, pronounced Ray Ann. I'm a college junior majoring in business management and am currently unemployed (although I am seeking employment fervently). I live with my best friend, Emily, whom I have known since middle school. When I say known, I mean I knew she existed... but we became best friends in high school because she was drum major and I was in the pit (front ensemble). I was really her only option as far as carrying on conversation during practice, and so we reluctantly became friends :)
Yeah, I was (and am) a band nerd. In fact, I came to college and spent my first year playing the vibraphone and traveling around with the JSU Marching Southerners. Fun stuff. However, it is also expensive and extremely tiring to be in band and go to school and practice and eat, etc. So, I'm just a groupie now :) I do play hand drums in my home church's worship band, of which Emily is the worship leader (keyboard player/lead vocal). I don't sing. Not at all. I mean, I do obviously sing at times, but certainly not to anyone or for anyone.
Let's see... I love to read, but I don't do it as often as I used to or as much as I would like to. I love music of all kinds. I love a good movie, too. My favorite of all time is 9 to 5 (yes, starring Dolly Parton). I think it's great. Really funny stuff.
I've recently gotten drawn into the blogging world, but I'm guessing you knew that. I used to write (poems, short stories...) but now I get distracted and caught up with other things. So, this little space here is my new outlet for whatever it is I'm feeling up to putting into words.
